meh - i dunno if this goes in this forum, but now it's here...

I like cactuses (or rather: cacti) - and i have a small collection.. - the plant in the top middle of the first picture, is a meat-eating plant, tho:

Mia: Yes! i know, and i'd love to... but Mexico is soooooo faaaaaar awayyyyy... I never tried eating nopal. Is it one of the "fun" ones? Wink I've tried eating the fruits of some opuntia cacti, tho (here they are commonly referred to as "figs")... However, it's quite hard to make my opuntias bloom and set fruits. A lot of cacti are edible, supposedly

These are 2 of my large opuntias. The stretched, thin growths are not natural and usually happens due to lack of light, water or fertilizer. They have now been cut down, and are setting new "leafs".
